I thought I would share these photos of my sister, Maxine Haun's, restored Thunderbirds! They are for sale, but I will not quote the price here. They are immaculate!
- We have had some terrible wind early this morning. It is still blowing and raining at 6am. Later we found there was a Trumann person killed when a tree fell on a house. At St. Elizabeth Place there were emergency radios announcing the weather... there were tornado watches. All the residents were on each side of the halls... those already in the dining halls were brought back to the halls. I sang and played, just quitely with some of my friends. Vivian and I walked down to her room. Left her some Watkins Petro-Carbo salve. I visited with Velma, Lorie, Nellie V., Robert Burns, Mr. Patty, Mildred F.,
- Skillcare... Vera King, Elsie Jean, Wamon/Eula Mae Perkins, William Carey, W. Griffith, Tim Hamilton, Dixie, Ken B., and Gertie Mills Skaggs
- Craighead Nursing Home... Leona/Lorene/Dorothy C./Eugene B. I talked with S.Bankston & Jewel Benson(Joe and Reba's daughter)just in front of the Finch cage.
- Jonesboro home care... Dacus', Jimmy, Marvin/Eugene, Ed Watson, Charley & Paul. I play " name that tune" with most all of them. Ed showed me a current photo of George/Peggy & himself. I left him looking at the photo of him and Bess.
- Class at SW.. Buddy Powell is retiring in Feb.09 . He has worked decades with Acme Brick . Talked with Norman R., Mike C, Charlie,Carol & Bethany B., Mike Leatherwood was our teacher on Obadiah (follower of Yahweh). Maxine and I sat together and Jimmy Adcox explained 40 days of Community Work. Mc and I ate at KFC... had the double scoop meat burrito grilled... not bad. Maxine related a conversation that she and Ferrell had this week. I told her that he and I speak nearly every day. Home to Beck and brought her un burrito tambien. Took un poco siesta. Me levante and went to Trumann... lots of large limbs down! I used a chain and pulled a lot of the limbs out of the way of the drive and my serpentine paths about the grove. Talked with Jr. L. for quite awhile. He was gone for 5 weeks visiting his sister Rae Dean and family in St. Louis. The wind had blown down one of his fence's panels. He and Luis put it back up in place. I have been reading Mayor/teacher blogspot. Mr. Paul leads a rather strenous schedule. I sent John B. an e-mail advising him of a couple places of interest in Chicago, Il....
